How to participate in an SPV on Glassboard

Congratulations! You've been invited to participate in a deal on Glassboard, Assure's innovative software platform for pooling investor funds through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).

The below is overview on how to use Glassboard to invest.

Email Invitation

You will have received an email containing the details of the deal you have been invited to participate in. To get started, click the button to create your Glassboard account.

Create your Glassboard Account

Enter your personal details to create your account. Please note: you may create multiple investor profiles for different purposes from the same Glassboard account.

After you create your account, you'll be asked to agree to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

Create your Investor Profile

After you have created your Glassboard account, the first step is to create your Investor profile. You can select whether you would like to invest as an Individual or an Entity.

Note that you can create multiple investor profiles for different purposes.

Investor Accreditation

You will then be required to certify that you are an accredited investor before you are prompted to create a profile. Please note that if you are not an accredited investor, you will not be able to participate in the deal.

Enter your Investment Details

In order to invest in the deal, first provide your subscription amount and the name of the bank you will be using to fund this investment.

Assure requires the name of your bank to comply with the USA Patriot Act.

If at any point in time you exit out of the above process, you can re-access the deal from the Investments dashboard, and click Invest Now to resume.

Sign the Fund Documents

There are three legal fund documents that you will be required to sign. The documents are: the Operating Agreement, the Private Placement Memorandum and the Subscription Agreement. These documents have been generated automatically on Glassboard based on the information provided on the deal by the Organizer.

Add Funding Source

Now that you've signed the documents, you can decide the method by which you'd like to fund your investment by clicking Add a Funding Source. Or you can skip this step and wait until later.

You can either select to wire in your subscription amount, or pay directly from your bank account by ACH using our third party partner, Plaid.

Once you click Complete investment, that's it! You have committed to the SPV.

And you're done!

Investment Dashboard

From the investment dashboard, you can review the investments that you have made on Glassboard.

You can click on the investment card for more details. From here, you can see the details of the deal, the status of your documents and your commitment amount, and you can add a funding source if you haven't already.

You can also click on Docs to view the deal documents you have signed, and any other files the Deal Organizer may have uploaded along with the deal.
